Howsit everyone.

My name is Aldert, I'm from Somerset West, but stay in Cape Town. I'm currently studying jazz at UCT.
I'm into Country (Johnny Hiland, Brent Mason, etc), Jazz (Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, Joe Pass, Joshua Redman, Clifford Brown, too many to mention), and Shred (John Petrucci, Dave Martone, Mattias Eklundh, etc).

I don't own too much equipment - only the necessary for now. Sold my GT-8 last week, and going the single pedal route now. So far got a Tech 21 Sansamp Tri Ac and Crybaby 535Q. Next up I want to get a compressor (keely? saw a T-rex comp-nova on gumtree. Anyone have experience with that?), and a more high gain distortion, and analog delay (again, any ideas?).

Amp-wise I've got a Roland Cube, but managed to finally save up enough money for a Laney Lionheart 4 x 10, that I'm picking up later this week. What a Kick ass Amp!

In terms of guitars, I have a Fender Nashville Tele, Cort M800, Venson (cheap guitar that i made fretless), Hoyer acoustic, Gretsch acoustic, Ibanez R1570 with the pickups from a nuno bettencourt signature guitar.

Hope you enjoy it. MXR Carbon Copy is a great option for analogue delay.

Will post some pics of my stuff tommorrow! And guess what? Picking up my Laney Lionhaert up tommorrow as well. I guess you can say I'm rather AMPED? ?

Thanks! Already checked out that ad, and did some research, don't think it's my kind of pedal though (Not that I know what my kind of pedal is haha)

Wow! Welcome dude. I remember meeting you at Bothners in Somerset West sometime last year ( i was the Indian guy playing some Petrucci stuff on an Ibanez RG something).
Last i heard of you was when i called the store and Sebastian (i think that's the guy's name) told me that you had gotten an opportunity to attend Berklee on scholarship.
Glad to note that you're jazzing it up at UCT!

In case people don't know, Aldert happens to be a kick ass fusionesque shredder 8) And i think he's not yet 20!
