GT-8 Weeeeee!!

Just got my GT-8 and I'm so excited! The sounds are amazing and there's just so much you can do with it. I'm sure I'll be overwhelmed for some time to come ?

Downloading the manual now to see if I can start making sense of what buttons do what. Must say, I already love what little I've played with - awesome tool! Amazing tones!

Thanks ? And yes I do - I have no idea where to connect this thing to record ? I imagine I'll have to get a DI box or some-such. But ja, this will inspire me to play more I'm sure. It's so much fun having a wah-wah pedal, volume pedal, and all sorts of different sounds at the tap(dance) of a (few) button(s).

I imagine a GT editor is something you can use to edit patches on your PC, right? What's a midi connection thingie do?

Was an amazing game to watch! Very exciting and Bafana created a lot of excellent opportunities for themselves. Was very proud watching them play like that. You could almost taste their determination.

Yep! Already figured out a couple of things but I have yet to find the button that helps you play better and my theory is still lacking so I think I over-estimated this little goody ?

Bought it 2nd-hand, so nope :/ Manual is 108 pages but it's pretty easy to understand so I think I'll just print the reference pages and then I should be okay.

Thanks ? Already got a pair plus I play through a tiny little 10w amp so it's easy enough to practise without waking up the neighborhood.

You're right Evo. I am lazy but i wasn't lying man. I like to think i'm an average guitar player, because it keeps me open-minded and willing to learn.

Ha ha. I've seen your picking technique and it is damn near un-cop-able ?
Once my recording skills get better, you'll be seeing/hearing a lot more of my playing on this forum.

Andrew Bryson, i'm sure, would be more than willing to give you pointers on that. I've heard Stratisfear get some amazing sounds out of his GT8 as well.

the MIDI connector is what allows the pedal and pc to speak.I have the MIDISport Uno. Works very well.
as for the editor, there are 2 available. here is one

as for recording with it, a simple stereo to stereo mini jack will do straight into your sound card from the phones output. just watch the levels and make sure your output is set correctly on the unit.
