Right, this was just a test to see if I could get it to work. This is one of our bands songs which I tried to relay into an instrumental version with reaper. The guitar work needs a lot of polish. The drums are shockingly boring and repetitive and for some reason, converting to mp3 has caused a lot of clipping issues. http://rapidshare.com/files/136479642/untitled.mp3.html I'll get a proper version up soon when I feel a little more creative than just strumming some chords :-[

REAdrums can be a pain to set up but there is a template available via the Reaper forums that makes things a bit easier (check here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=8711, still I get drum disappearing with it. Regarding your comment about "no beat" you do know the REAdrums just takes a MIDI drum score and plays back drum samples in it's place don't you? i.e. it's not a drum machine.

I now use Drummer Modus from www.synthedit.com, also a freebie along similar lines but a bit easier to use I find.

LOL! Reminds me of the brand new Roland GM-70 guitar to MIDI converter I bought from a guy really cheap because it "didn't work" (they only convert to MIDI and you still need a synth to play the MIDI notes).
