lindsmuse It seems that all vuvuzelas play the note 'B' - that is if my guitar is in tune ... So why can't they sell vuvuzelas in 3 different notes. B D# and F#. Then we could have a nice chord coming thro' every now and then .... Maybe it would lose it's impact?
DonovanB It would be cool if they could make them out of brass. Then maybe stick a loop on them and 3 buttons.. oh, wait... :-[ If they were to do that, and the crowd got it right, you would have one crazy arpeggio
guitarboy2828 I was actually thinking about that.. Why don't they make them different pitches.. But then I was thinking.. That'd sound HORRIBLE if everyone was just blowing at once.. Like a piano being beat upon.. So, then I resided to thinking that having them all play one note is a great plan! ? But I didn't think of a nice little arpeggio.. That'd be cool! ? If we did make new notes, how would we? Would we make them shorter or longer? Or would it have to be a fatter or thinner opening? haha..

AlanRatcliffe There is nothing wrong with a vuvuzela that a rubber mallet applied to the front of the bell while being played will not cure. ?

DonovanB It is part of an image challenge on b3ta.com Not sure of copyright. I'm sure it's fine. Here's another...
Wizard If truth be told, it seems to be the teams playing the worst that are moaning the most about the vuvuzela's ?
Wizard lindsmuse wrote That 'Breaking Balls Sonata' is something! ? ... but now I'm curious as to whether the pitch is A or B. Will have to do some scientific experiments of my own ?
lindsmuse I am busy doing a thorough investigation onto this .... Here is link one: http://www.geekosystem.com/autotune-vuvuzela/ ( a bit too technical for me)
Wizard Ok ... done my experiment. Even if Autotune can't pick up the pitch, my faithful little Cort & Boss TU-80 tuners had no problem! ? Tried two different models: Yellow Bafana Bafana model: Bb Italian coloured model: A These are the pitches achieved when blowing full blast. Of course having A and Bb played together doesn't help the discordant sound much either. "Excuse me sir, this game has been designated as Bb - that vuvuzela is not allowed!!"
dee Anyone seen the small vuvuzela's going around? Not as loud, but they sound like a duck that is being <insert proper noun/verb/adj here> ?
Garth-S What about Vuvuzelas at an american baseball game? http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?from=rss_Top%20Stories&set_id=1&click_id=29&art_id=nw20100620105611740C946870
Keira-WitherKay in such a health conscious time..... surely the use of the vuvuzela's must be seen as a health risk.cos wow the db's must be pretty high and a football match is 90 min plus the time before the match in stadium...the exposure over that time period...... must be damaging eardrums BUT the vibe is excellent just pity they not softer .......... cos i was hooked up in world cup vibe at one of my gigs when bafana played and the crowd all grooving with the vuvuzela's was awesome for the atmosphere......... so yes it works big time.......... but i do fear hearing loss /tinnitus is a huge risk..............
