Ok...Boss vs. Line 6

Hi guys

I need help...actually all the guitarists opinion

Went and test drived the Boss ME-70 R4600
and the Line 6 Pod Floor plus R3800 today.

Is just want to know your guys take on these 2 pedals?

Both of them sound pretty good to me.
Your comments would be much appreciated.

If you're looking at the ME range, why not look for a second hand GT-10? You could probably get one in the same price range.. Although, it depends on what you're after.. Never mind that.. Just a thought.

On the difference between the Line6 and Boss. Different people will always side one way here or there and swear by one and no the other. Reality is, they're both great pedals and can do amazing things. I'm not sure if it's still like this, but it seems to me like it still is. Line6 pride themselves in their amp simulations and they do a GREAT job at them. However, their effects are not as quality as Boss. But the opposite is true of boss. Again, the gap here may be a lot smaller than 2 or 3 years ago, but I imagine it's still very much there.

That being said, it depends on what you're after really. What is your current set up? What are you wanting the pedal to do?

+1. Spot on. Line 6 are usually a bit easier to use too, but Boss will give you deeper editing.

The Pod 6 is so much easier to use. I have a GT8 and trust me when i say. You'll be sitting there for about 2 weeks configuring it.

Line 6 make great stomp boxes, DM4 etc.
I also like their modeling amps, like Alan said Line 6 pride themselves in amp modeling.

I would go for the GT-10, yes allot more difficult to setup, but there are tons of patches you can download.
For instance I found a Metallica Black album patch! It is insane, the tone is pure Metallica black!!!!

With the GT-10 you also get a recording interface that you can use with your PC for recording ?
