Usually I just read through everything that is going on here and get exactly what I need. This is such a damn great forum. But this time I would like to put it out here. Advise would be really cool.
I have a 2004 Highway One Strat and a little Fender Champion 600 (modded by Matta, verrry happy with it!) Type of music I am into... Blues all the way. Dig it, feel it, need to play it.
Anyway... Let me tell you about my situation. I received a unexpected little gift from my traveling brother. A Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Blues pickup DP402 (
http://www.dimarzio.com/site/#/pickups/ ) I was thinking about putting it in the neck position, because I always play in position 5 and 4. Rarely use the other positions. ( And yes, I am not really happy with my current setup. Something feels missing.) But now I am also starting to wonder and worry what I am actually busy with... What about the other two guys? I guess this is a balancing act? Maybe I should change them too? I don't know that much about all the techie stuff and it feels like a whole new world of options is opening up. Which is grrrreat! Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!
