New guitar

HI Ive decided i need a new guitar, something with a floating bridge, 2 humbuckers, thin neck and has a fat sound. Since i play lead stuff mostly and i wanna go into only metal and shred i think the following would work nicely. Currently the Ibanez egen 18 is standing out because of its mahogany body with maple top ( Nice fat warm sound ). Please tell me what you think. No it not to bright, i actually love the tone, its FAT when i play chords and it really cuts through nicely when you play lead, the setup is a bit kak, but thats not something i cant work around for now. I just have to lower the bride a little bit ( just like i had to do on norios on friday ) and ill take it in for a nice setup next week sometime.

Does any one which pickups from dimarzio is closest to the ibanez / dimarzio stock pickups ?

The through neck of the RGT is going to make it brighter than the bolt-on of the EGEN.

Why is that Alan? And do through necks really provide more sustain?

I played that Jem a while ago at Andy Mcgibbons and it was clear that I could achieve great speed on that thing. It is really a fantastic instrument. That RG looks awesome though!

Conrad, it plays as good as a jem. Its just a bit fatter sounding ( If you want it to ), no middle pickup and no scalloped frets. Im taking it to norio this afternoon and ill record something this weekend using it and the px5d.
