AHHH!!!!! So someone's coming to check out my silverface tomorrow ☹
But first problem is that the one speaker makes a horrible buzz on bassy notes basically till just above middle C. Could this be a rattle in against the baffle board or something or would it most likely be the speaker?
Secondly amongst all my frustration trying to get this thing sorted, it's now not turning on ☹ But I seem to think it's the switch somehow. By testing continuity, of the 4 lugs (Lets just say 1,2,3,4) lug 2 and 4 are bridged, and flipping the switch does not activate any bridge ☹ Ideas? Anyone know how these switches work so I can get a replacement?
Mike.

Removed switch from circut, WOOT working so far. Now just to figure out the noise.

You're going to have to poke your head into the cabinet to see if you can pinpoint the source of the noise. Maybe get someone else to play the guitar ?
Check the inside of the speaker from the back. Between the cone and the frame rubbish can collect and rattle about.

Sooo how do I get the panel with the grille cloth off? ?
Checked from the back but nothing.
Nevermind, velcro ?
I'm starting to think it's the speaker ☹ How much do recones or similar cost? How much would a replacement 12" go for? (I don't really care which, the amp's going to be sold.
