Bob-Dubery A shipment of Breedlove acoustics came into Music Connection recently, and oh my! there are some good buys to be had here. A friend of mine bought a C20 today. The 20 series are at the bottom end of the American built Breedlove range, but don't let that put you off - this is a lot of guitar for the money. The "C"s are Breedlove's equivalent of an OM guitar, that general size but a slightly more angular shape. The workmanship, the fittings, the case are all excellent and these guitars have a big voice with a real ring to it and a good balance from top to bottom. Sticker price is R15k but you can knock them down from there. They don't have factory fit electronics, but that means you can get what you want fitted. If you want to spend a bit more then there are some really, really good guitars to be had, but from what I saw the 20s are hitting the sweet spot on the bang-per-buck chart. No... I didn't buy one. I've just been paying for an overseas holiday so the piggy bank is not quite full right now.
