Hey guys
I just got a really awesome set of SHURE SHR440 Headphones off ebay for about $90. They sound amazing, only one problem.
The cable is coiled and too short for standing and playing while its pluged in the amp. I've heard if you add an extension cable
into the original then into the output it will mess up the sound. The original cable is detachable, but I'd like to still use it since it has
a really cool locking mechanism the makes it lock into the headphones (Also doesn't look like anything else will fit)
I want to get an extension cable (2.5m - 3m) to plug the originals into and then into my amp, but I don't want sound quality to suffer. Can anyone suggest a really really solid exension cable that will maintain sound quality?

Three to five metres won't be a problem. It's relatively high power (compared to an instrument cable) and is low Z (but not speaker low - 64 Ohm IIRC), so you would even be able to run quite long cables if needed.
