I'm not wild about studios generally
I'm still not clear about the differences between a Standard and Studio, except for the lack of binding and different finish on the Studio. I always thought of the Studio as a budget model LP, or "poor man's" Standard. One website I checked stated that the Studio introduced in the 80's has more "advanced electronics" compared to the Standard, and is better suited for studio work. Whatever that means...? Are the pickups the same (not talking about the BFG thing here, I mean the stock Studio)? And the difference tonewise?
