Renault Car Kool aid

I am thinking of taking a big swig of this particular kool aid. Renault tell me they have upped service levels and spares hoilding and they are now a much imporved brand.

But the proof is in the pudding , any owners, comments?

My main transport is a yamaha so i dont rack up miles in a car using it mainly for holidaying and the like. I have a small family , me , wife and 2 year old. I have older kids but they unliekly to holiday with pa. Looking at the new CLio 1.6 btw.

I've got friends with newer Renaults and they're very happy... thing that I always look at is reliability (Toyota if you don't mind not being able to stop, VW) but I think most major manufacturers are there already. Also service plan (Toyota ftw) and spares costs. Renault also has an agreement with Nissan, this is good BUT BUT BUT Renault is in partnership with Mahindra on Logans (windows made in India, engine made in India, pretty everything made in India). I've driven a few Tata products and they're not bad but the build is cheap (that's the idea) and wipers on two different ones were broken (new rentals I might add).
Disclaimer: I love India but just not the tinny speakers they put in their cars. I don't know how many parts are making their way into mainstream Renaults like Clios or if that's even a bad thing but something to be aware of.

I'm not sure about the new models, but the thing with Renaults has always been cost of servicing and spares.

+1.. A decent service is going to cost you between 3-4k for a small car. For me, that is far to much to make a car worth while! ?

But, i will say the renault megane sport is flippin amazing! ?
