A few ideas

Riaan

Here are a few ideas I've been busy with in the past, all recorded on my old soundcard with my ancient version of Cakewalk (Pro Audio 9) All audio clips, no MIDI, my Cort acoustic guitar only with some effects from my Zoom 505II. They're really jingles only, not songs. I hope to work on them sometime soon and try to develop them further.

I'm hopeless at naming tunes, so the titles are quite meaningless!

Hey Riaan

I get "no shared files/folders found"?

MiKeZilLA

Yep same here

Riaan

Hey guys, truth be told I took them off, they're all probably crap - I'll post some other stuff sometime soon.

kayDUB

Have you not seen some of the stuff i've posted!?!? ?

AlanRatcliffe

Yeah - it's impossible for you to be an impartial judge of your own material. I don't like the stuff I post either.

And the crowd chants... "PUT THEM BACK!! PUT THEM BACK!!!"

Somehow my own tunes always end up sounding to me like a cross between some New Age tune and a porn movie soundtrack... :-[... and the more I listen to it, the more I realise I had something else in mind! I'm increasingly realising that it's quite difficult to come up with something that has a proper song structure with a intro, chorus, bridge and whatever, yet doesn't sound like a rippoff of an existing song. Not to mention the fact that the tune changes with every take! I'll put some back on tonight, they're on my home PC. All those tunes were done about two or three years ago, I'm not at the moment geared to record. All done on the family PC which by now is in desperate need of a format and some new hard disks...they're so full I can't even defrag anymore!

.. personally I've always thought that For The Love Of God by his worship Steve Vai sounds exactly like what you just described. So you're in good company then ?. Now excuse me while I go hide from the rest of the forum who are bound to want to stone me for blasphemy.
