Cool post dude.
I love some the guitar stuff on Tekken 5
And Vai's playing on Halo 2 is very cool. Check it out. Keep well!

Yeah some of these tracks were awesome,
I like the orchestrated pieces from the Final Fantasy series, Nobuo Uematsu is brilliant. Actually most of SquareEnix's games back then had awesome sound tracks, the opening to Parasite Eve 2, almost everything from chrono cross especially the open world music.
2D fighters like street fighter have always been a close friend of guitar and in the street fighter anime KMFDM was one of the OST comtributers. Guilty Gear X also worthy of a listen.
Konami also puts alot of work towards in game music, the silent hill music was soo f'ing trippy loved the track they used for the silent hill 2 sneak peak which was also the ending theme song of the movie (nice guitar piece IMO).
The Metal Gear series also has some nice pieces.

Nobuo Uematsu is a major ass kicker.
