Hey guys..
Something really wasted happened to me this weekend.. I was busy with a song on guitarpro, nothing breathtaking, but I loved it, and then the power went out.. When I eventually got the system back running again, the file couldn't be opened anymore, and I nearly cried because I had put in hours of work on this..
If ANYONE can open it, or atleast tell me what to do, it would be greatly appreciated... It feels like my sole had been stolen... :( :(

sorry jp, i tried to open it,but it crashed my PC, so there must be a virus embeded in the file!!!
The only tip i can give is to get a UPS and save your work every 5 minutes.

Damn... O.k, how could that've happened, since the system's virus free? Yes Wessel it was something I'd been working on for a while, but hey, that's wat happens when you dismiss your homework and try to save the world from crappp music haha.... ?
But thanks for the efforts, and if anyone else still has any idees, pleeeeeease....

I don't know the Guitar Pro software, but do you have the latest version including all patches and updates? I think there is a chance that the file became corrupted when the power cut and the software doesn't have proper error handling in place. I don't think it is necessarily a virus.
You can try sending the file to the developers of the software, they should have some sort of contact email address on their website.
