Ibanez' most luscious 7-string yet (RGA427Z Prestige)

This is it, the dreamiest production 7-string Ibanez have come up with yet, beating out even the mighty flagship Universe imo.

Look and drool.

Pity about the price. The picture is from drumcityguitarland, for a cool $2600. List price $3500. I guess that means ±R35,000 locally...?
To add insult to injury, for that price you get some sh*tty home-made Ibanez active pickups, not even EMGs.
Not to mention the majority probably would have preferred passives rather than the EMG-size routing, into which only EMGs can go.

A noteworthy feature is the mahogany body, unusual for Ibanez who usually stick to basswood.

I'd love to own one but just a tad too pricy for what it is.

The S-Series from Ibanez are all made from Mahogany by the way.

How did they manage to avoid letting sunlight show off the finish in those two shots? *sigh* That does the guitar a disservice. As it is, I can't get excited about it - flog me, but I'd prefer the Universe. ?

I never got this whole 7 string fascination... That Ibanez is pretty darn pointy... and purple...... I refer my guitars to not look like a weapon from "ninja turtles"

I've seen Ibanez ads that play on the whole samurai sword vibe. Not everyone likes the same stuff. They do look dangerous though. Wouldn't want to fall on one ?

Oh, I wouldn't take that as too big an affront, those are pretty darn sexy too! In fact the sleek black 'n silver is probably ultimately better than purple for me. I guess I'm used to seeing sleed black 'n silver is all. Grass is alway more purple on the other side and all that.

I think the Korn K7's might be mahogany too come to think of it. But not many Ibanez 7's in mahogany anyway.
