Line mixer

My Alesis Studio 12R mixer is beginning to get a little unpredictable. I serviced it about a year ago, but the output jacks are beginning to go. Now I can fix it up easily enough, but I'm thinking along different lines. I've been using it more to sum stereo signals from 3 PCs and mic pres, etc. the last few years. I don't use the mic pres or the tone controls, sends or anything like that. Occasionally the headphone jack for late night work.

So I'm thinking of getting something along the line of a line mixer/summing amp rather than a fullblown mixer again. I'd rather keep it simple and pay the money for something higher quality. Unfortunately, I don't seem to find much around.

So, has anyone seen anything along these lines:

10 - 12 channel (actually 5 - 6 stereo channels)
Rack mounted (preferably 1U or 2U)
Decent quality

Could this also be reffered to as a channel mixer?

It might be - anything that mixes channels together could be called that. Usually these things have very little in the way of controls - often just level per input.

They're not rack mountable.

Thanks, but no, that's a normal mixer. What I'm looking for is a lot simpler than that, just mixes stereo signals, no EQ, sends or anything other than a level and maybe a pan control for each input. They are made for summing the output of various sources like other mixers.

No probs - it's just a very specialised, much simpler version of the same thing.

I used to a a FOSTEX line mixer. It had 8 stereo channels, with input control. Don't know if they still make them though.
