Warren I get your point
But I have also experienced with Audacity
After recording track 1, and you hit the record button for track 2, sometimes you dont hear the playback of track 1, this is when you need to check the preferences.
But you may have a point, although Audacity automatically starts a new track when you hit the record button (the big red thingy)
Bob does this happen?
Yes it does. I get the new track. However I can not hear the track I laid down previously, or if I do hear it then it gets recorded as part of the new track.
So last night I was working up a rough version of my entry for the competition.
I laid down a guitar track.
I then wanted to add some simple percussion.
I moved back to the start of the first track. Clicked "Record" and got a new track generated BUT the guitar part that I'd laid down got included in the new track along with the percussion that I was adding.
