Best place to buy a Martin or Taylor?

I don't know who has the lowest prices, but most shops are offering good deals right now.

And why limit yourself to those two brands?

McGibbon's have the odd Martin, the odd Lakewood and also stock Larrivee.

Music Connection have Martin and Breedlove and quite a good selection of 2nd hand high-end acoustics.

Hugh's Fine Guitars have plenty of Martin, also Collings and a couple of Santa Cruz.

IIRC Marshall have Martin in stock.

Check out the WHOLE deal. Do you get a setup? Do you get a case? etc etc

Hugh's Fine Guitars have plenty of Martin, also Collings and a couple of Santa Cruz.

I read a Guitar Player review of the Santa Cruz Firefly. I don't think I've ever heard such gush from a serious reviewer. He said it played and sounded as good as his pre-war Martin, even though it was brand new. Not cheap though - especially the version with the figured Indian Rosewood back.

Marshall Music in Woodmead stock alot of Taylors. They have the Taylor agency in SA so that is probably the best place to go for Taylor.
As Bob said, Music Connection and Any McGibbons are also great options. ?

More the point, there are options for quality acoustic guitars beyond Martin and Taylor, and the list I provided allows one to examine some other high-end brands.

Yip, don't be bogged down on one brand, look at the Breedlove guitars at Music Connection. Very nice... ?
I went to Music Connection to get a Taylor and ended up getting a gibson. ?
