As i am researching info on guitar woods(been researching for about 2 years), i will oneday build my dream guitar, as i am only experimenting with custom jobs at the moment.

That's Frank Falbo's article - a nice guy and his info is spot on.

However, I have to humbly submit my own article on this as it covers a wider range of woods, many in pretty common usage these days:

Frank also covers neck woods, which mine doesn't, but i plan on doing a neckwoods article sometime in the future.

Thanks for the info alan, i'll have a look through it.

I would like to go for someting with mahogany body,maple top, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.
I'm also considering a alder body, they use those on the jacksons.

i'll let you know if i finally desided on the wood i want to use......
