i purchased the behringer V-ampire LX1200x the other day and was wondering what sort of Midi controller i should get,
my friend has a FCB1010 that he is willing to sell but this looks a bit over the top for my needs,
can the fcb1010 be used through more than one rack unit, im also looking at getting the tc electronic g major, will the 2 of them be able to be controlled independantly with the FCB1010, and will i be able to mix effects pathces from the 2 units,
im kind of new to the whole midi thing and would like to start working with these units
any thoughts
PS: i know nothing when it comes to midi

I may be wrong, but I'm sure they can both be controlled via one foot switch, that's the purpose of midi, to have a huge rack and one pedalboard! ?

The FCB1010 will be perfect. You can program it to work with any MIDI capable unit and you can easily set up things so multiple units are controlled by one footcontroller.

if you get the tc electronic, why bother with the fcb1010... The G major will have a dedicated board (possibly an optional extra) which is really suited to the unit... made for it... really!
Now... riddle me this... why have a modeler amp and then buy a tc electronics unit? Granted that the TC is superior by a long shot... but is the behringer not going to flavour the sound of the the superior unit... ie: is the behringer bypassable? Like completely? can you use it as a power amp only? I'm only asking because i don't know it or how it sounds... from reading up on it it seems discontinued and it sounds liked a powered vamp on steroids... but how good the steroids are i dont know.
The fcb 1010 is a great pedal... and you would go from the out of the amp/TC to the other in/thru----> it has a nice manual to read too, read that before taking my hook up advice, hehe. I've never hooked up more than one unit at a time...
The TC is great, so I just hope the amp can bypass all colouring.

dont know yet how good the Vampire is, but thats because ive been lazy the last few day, got some half decent tones out of it last night but its still gonna take me a while to get the sounds i want,
the amp is bypassable, im not sure about the language they are using in the Manual, doesnt seem like english, but then again thats probably just my lack of experience.
the big plan is to actually build a decent amp using different parts, i got the vampire mainly as a boobie prize, i wanted the bugera cab and it came as a package.
still i dont have any other moddlers or effects units (besides some DIST pedals)
so i think this is gonna be a great way to learn.
