In an effort to improve my rhythm I want to possibly buy a drum type thing to play around with.
The guitarists here who have ventured out into the world, past the boundaries of their bedrooms and garages, may have experienced the strange sight of a rather peculiar animal taking out its anger on lots of round box things, using sticks or even his bare hands! ?
Well, these are called drums and the peculiar animal is in fact a drummer, believe it or not. They are quite rare these days since they get beaten into submission with hundreds of drummer jokes every time they dare come onto the forum ???
Anyways, what is a good starter drum? I like the sounds of a cajon. Are they expensive? Any other suggestions to improve rhythm for the purpose of playing guitar?
