Hey there,
Anybody know if there is anyone is cape town that will sell me a classical fingerboard/fretboard blank?
There's a rosewood one on ebay for about R200 including shipping, just checking if I can source one locally first. Type of wood doesn't matter.
Thanks!

I would advise against using anything but hard wood for a fretboard.
Have a look around in the 'contacts' section of the forum; it does list a couple of places that have the cool species and some of them carry blanks.
If you're looking for a blank, must it be a slotted blank? Does the eBay offer about shipping include worldwide shipping?

i'd prefer a slotted blank, 650mm scale. the ebay listing has international shipping (GBP 3), and costs GBP 9, its not slotted. I've been looking around and have found I can get a slotted indian rosewood plus fretwire for about $21, excl shipping so will probably go for that rather if I can't find something here.

Your chance of commercially buying a slotted fretboard on this continent are slim to say the least.

Haha thanks for that. I guess i'll go the LMII route then.
