hows the quality of black diamond nylon strings?

Not good. Put it this way: I'd rather use Augustine Blues (which I hate, BTW).

this shop called frontline in voortrekker road charged me R75.00 for that set
got home and the D-string snapped while fitting it
can i do anything about that?

I doubt that they'll replace them as they have no control over how you restring the guitar, but I guess you can call them and complain, maybe they be nice ppls.

It depends on how the guys at the shop are. In many cases a store will replace a string if you tell them it broke on stringing up - take in your guitar and let them see if there are any sharp spots on the saddle or tuners and they will in all likelihood replace it for you.
