Ok, while I wait until I decide on the right sinker set, I need a few suggestions and advice as well.
1) Fretboard inlays/markers?
I am looking at possibly just a 12th fret inlay but was also thinking of no inlays or markers at all. What do you think and if just a 12th fret inlay what would you do if it was your build?
Most of the items you're putting up for discussion fall into the realm of the subjective. I think there's a little more of a utility aspect involved in regards marking on the fretboard.
I like other people to have dot markers on the fingerboard. That makes it easier for me to understand what they're doing. ?
As regards my own guitars I could care less about markers on the fingerboard. What I do want are markers on the side of the neck that I can see when I'm playing. There's a practical issue here. Classical guitarists don't seem to need dot markers at all. I know some steel string players who think that all you need is dots at 12 and 7. The point is that you need to consider what will give you the indications that you need as regards where you are on the neck.
This might come down to dots on the actual fingerboard. A friend of mine prefers to have these simply because a combination of weakened eyesight and playing position renders dots on the side of the neck less useful to him.
If you want dot markers for utility but don't want a lot of bling on the guitar you might consider something like the small dot markers that Larrivee use on their 03, 05 and 09 series instruments. IIRC your Morgan has similar dots.
