Hi Guys

I am busy doing a little cosmetic makeover on a 96 Japanese Fender Strat that I bought from a forum member.
I am really struggling to find a set of screws for the pickups, selector switch and bridge.
Only ones that seem to be available are the scratch plate screws which I have.

I have trawled Marshall and Bothners N1 City and also two fastener companies without success.
Any leads?

I've got dozens of the pan head style, because I usually replace them with countersunk ones. They work for switch too (same thread), but are a bit long. I should have some of the short DiMarzio switch screws, but they are pan head and slotted (rather than Philips) head. You're welcome to a set if you want them.

few of mine are rusted so Id also like to know where to source to replace them ?

All the online stores have them. I can't remember where I bought my countersunk stainless sets (complete with proper pickup springs) - might have been from Acme Guitarworks. Ah no, it was from Guitar Nucleus - with springs but switch screws seperate.

Just looked and I have two full sets of pan head screws (Philips) with switch screws (slotted) I'd be willing to give to good homes.

Alan thanks for your kind offer!

I decided to replace the Jap switch with an American one which solved the screw problem as an added bonus.
I found slotted vs Phillips SS bridge screws and I can live with that.
A friend of mine who builds and repairs guitars in JHB is visiting CT next month and will bring me a set of pickup screws so I am sorted.

I stripped the whole guitar to polish the scratches out of the body.
Installed new pickguard, switch and jackplug last night along with a new set of strings.
The switch was an interesting exercise, swopping a Jap switch for a very different USA one. It got the brain cells working. Tonight I setup and tune and hopefully play my new toy!
