Microphone

I hope im not asking a question that has already been answered but i am wondering if there is a microphone tha can be plugged straight into a computer and be used to record drums, guitar, bass ect. So Im looking for an easy way to record and get better quality then what i am getting using my cell phone.

You do get USB mics, but I think most are designed for podcasting and I don't know anything about them.

@ Sean, this is basically an external soundcard(Audio Interface) so you wouldn't need anything extra. Plugs direct into your USB.
Works very well.

how many mics can you plug into this guy? I want to get a sort of stereo thing going on the drums so I would need two mics on each side. Also what software do you use?

by the looks of it that only has RCA inputs and is meant for DJ's. so if you have a mixing desk, you can take the record out and have as many inputs as you want, but you'll only be able to record one stereo track or two monos at a time.

I would use my Desk or my effects unit to connect to the UCA202.
You can find the convertors at most electronic shops(from jack to rca etc)
