Just goes to show that even experienced luthiers can be wrong. As interesting as he can sometimes be, the man's monumental ego tends to become very tiring.

It's safest not to use Ed Roman's "info" - he sometimes gets it right, but his writing is usually geared exclusively towards selling something he's building or selling. His opinions change when he lands an agency and when it is taken away from him again (often for non-payment or being caught making fakes of the brand in question).
