I doubt it's ever really going to be super valuable, but, while they are very different things, quality-wise I'd put the Musician up against any Squier or Mex Strat anyday. Closest comparison would be the Yamaha SG-series or Aria RS-series. Really well made.
Made in the days when the Japanese manufacturers were making some of the best through neck guitars in the world, bar the Alembic guitars. The MC150 might have been low in the range, but still great guitars - the "better models" mostly just had added electronics, more switches than any sane person really wants and fancier looking woods. These are the guitars that showed everyone what Ibanez could really do.
I mean, look at the other MC150 and see what's under the red finish on yours:
The only other thing I don't like about any of the musicians is the square edged bridge. But even there, they are locking models that predate the TonePros bridges by 25 years! Pickups are generally a bit too hot for me, but there are a lot of guys who really like them.
