Don't know if this has been answered somewhere already, bu couldn't find anything...
When using a battery to power a pedal, do you have to take out the battery every time after playing or is it fine to just unplug the cables?
I only play at nights so the pedal will be used 1-2 hours per day max...

Unplug the cables, the pedal will only turn on if either the input or output is inserted, can test by turning the pedal on and pulling either jack out, light should go off ?

If you're not going to play for a month or more (bless your soul), then take the battery out and store it in a cool place, resting on something that cannot be corroded. Even modern alkaline batteries are prone to leak when left standing for extended periods of time after some use.

unplug the inputs
and dont worry i asked the same question a couple of weeks ago , we all learn here.
in the case of Boss pedals the output need not be removed, not sure of other brands though
