Yesterday I was talking to a good friend of mine who has a nice Larrivee OM that he loaned out a couple of times.

From what he says it seems the way to get a guitar quickly road warn is to lend it to a guy who has a gig, doesn't have a guitar, and makes extravagant promises as to how he'll look after it like it was his mother's.

And seeing that a roadworn does not/should not need protection....why not use the case as a....

Well you can buy jeans that are already ripped and/or faded and/or patched, so why should the guitar industry miss out on a perfectly good opportunity to take advantage of people's desire for instant authenticity?

Ho ho. I also like my jeans deep indigo. I'm quite happy to wear them for the ten years it takes them to fade.

Nooo SM... it doesn't take that long....just wash 'em more often ?

I'm affraid even distressed jeans look fake...just like those guitars.
