Intonation woes on 335 sorted.

The original bridge on my 60's 335 would never allow me to intonate properly, it just had too little travel, all the saddles were maxed to the front of the bridge. I ended up buying a locking AVR-2 bridge from Tonepros. It is a perfect fit, intonates perfectly and I prefer the tone from these saddles, to the original nylon saddles I had. The guitar is perfect now and I am stoked ? The guitar in question, I just need to age the parts with some good old sweat when playing.

Listen, if you want to go full vintage, I have a complete set of double line, double-ring tuners off a '69 Deluxe - all working - but no bushes. I'd rather sell them to you, but not for peanuts, of course, since they're going for stupid money in the States. If you want them, PM me. Not that I suspect you're ever planning on selling this thing. But hey, you may want to retire in luxury one day (by which time these guys will probably be going for insane prices) so you might want the 60s tuners.

Keep the original safe and sound. I know that the new one is better, but the guitar, should you wish to sell one day, will probably be more valuable with the original bits on it.

This one was a basket case, the previous owner bought the body and sent it to Gibson for a reneck. The only neck that would fit it was the necks theymade for the Clapton series of signature 335's. I think he ended up paying 3K US to have it fitted. Most of the parts are period correct.
