Advanced lessons wanted

Hey all,

I've been jamming for quite some time and I can play pretty well, but... I think I'm at a place where there's no-where I can really go on my own, I need lessons. I play hard rock and metal like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera amongst others but what I can't do is really shred it man, like the real pideli-pideli-pideli-piweeweeweeeeew shit man. If anyone knows someone in the Joburg area who gives good advanced lessons it would be really cool. I wouldn't mind broadening my understanding of playing styles too, like flameco and jazz and stuff.

hey if you want to learn advanced flamenco and jazz, world music , pop , blues , rock , theory , composition or multipart fingerstyle stuff, and you in jhb i do teach fulltime and perform professionally in jhb , or if you into the more shred style rock that i don't teach but i would recommend evolution (also on this site) he is your man for advanced rock techniques.........

dont get more complete basics to way past advanced, he will set you straight, and leave your jaw on the floor

I am in Pretoria and I do teach. Currently I teach in Kyalami for a company called Guitar4all
but I am also open to having private students in pretoria.
I have a degree in Jazz guitar and I also love rock guitar.
Brian May is a big inspiration, but ive also dabbled in quite a bit
of Paul Gilbert speedier picking stuff and played in a metal band for about 4 years.
My specialty is explaining why a guitarist chose to play what they did and on what
song, instead of just playing one scale over the key of the song.

Blues, fingerstyle as well as basic folk and flamenco techniques are also a love of mine.
I'm also getting into advanced solo guitar playing on request. E.g. One of my students asked
to analyze the playing of Tuck Andress with transcriptions and theoretical expanations in
order to copy that style.
