i think thats tha extension cab thats been listed.

i was at the store a few weeks ago and the HRD's were marked at R12999.00 if i remember correctly, i saw the extension cab for R7995.00 thats the reason i've stated that its probably the cab. if thats the price they want for a HRD i'm gonna get one tomorow again, i had one but traded it for an ampeg stack, never even had the chance to mod it as the others do. would love to get one again and try some of them mods.

You know, I will steal from many people and organizations. But I dont think I would steal from a music store - not a local one anyway. I just get the impression that it's not such an easy business in this neck of the woods. Tell me if I'm wrong then I'll start stealing from them as well.

The DeVille is the popular one. I'd far rather have a Deluxe Reverb Reissue than the Hotrod Deluxe.

It's one of the all-time classic amps, arguably the best clean tones ever (and at stays clean until absolute earsplitting volumes). A firm staple as the backline amp of choice with hire companies. Downside is it's heavy and LOUD (as in 85 valve Watts of LOUD). Mine never goes above 4 on the volume dial - with a Tube Tamer attached.

While they don't give details (or even mention it's an amp), the amp on sale is the modern reissue - the '65 Twin Reverb Reissue (TRRI to its friends). If you want a bit of moustache (hair) at saner levels, a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue (DRRI) makes a lot more sense, or a Princeton Reverb Reissue for home use. The Princeton is a bit overpriced and can't quite hang with a drummer unmiked while for only a few grand more the Deluxe can.
