Blues Harp Clip - Bottle 'o Blues mic through Laney Cub 8

Here is a clip just to give you an idea of the tone of the Bottle 'o Blues mic played through the Laney Cub 8 (with the matta speaker mod).

I am way to sober to play harp at the moment so please don't judge the playing, I'm mainly posting this for Rikus that wanted to hear how the two sound together.

Also take note that it sounds better with the amp driven a bit more, but if I do that in my small "studio" space I get feedback, so keep in mind that it sounds more raunchy if you have open the amp up a bit more.

That sounds great! I'm also digging the sound of that bottle 'o blues. That's a nice setup you have there.

Yea it does look fairly simple to make. Why don't ya give it a bash? I dont know which way to hold a soldering iron.

I'm also planning on trying my hand at building one to mess around with first.

I'm trying to source a mic element at the moment. This is what I've found so far locally (I've found a couple of international sites, but local would be first prize) http://www.fort777.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=269_456_1162&products_id=733

From the info available online it looks like the above element would work... but I'm not really sure how it will sound.

Electronics isn't really my thing, are there any other stores locally that supply High Z mic elements?
