That is very nicely done Viccy... I love your feel on the third one. Not to be rude, but after hearing John Williams do the first two I can't listen to anyone else's and be nice.
mmmmmmmmm for me i'm greatful she does not sound like John Williams, which means she's not a "clone" musician, jeez i hate that ........
and yes you have the right to prefer a version,
but think that you could at least be open minded enough to listen to other peoples versions "and be nice" and yes your post was encouraging too so i'm not slateing you over this ?
but rather pointing out that other people's feel, (cos she played the piece well with no blatent errors) are obviously different and should be seen as their originality ....especially in classical music as everyone plays mostly the same pieces so the small differences in interpretation in classical music is everything ...........cos it's thats like me saying once you hear steve vai ....(WHO I DO THINK IS AWESOME) no electric guitarist should play anything he has cos it won't be appreciated.......... NOT TRUE
ok i said that quite clumsily and please not in any argumentative way either i hope........ but hope the msg came thru, it is art , and how can we compare art , since what appeals to you might not appeal to me........ and that is cool so choose to listen to who appeals to you .............
but to say that one artist should sound like another or it's not good enough is not quite right in my world.
