Hi Guys,
I've got a Compressor/ Tube Screamer 2-in-1 pedal. It was built with no battery (I'm not sure what you would call it?) holder-thingy... basically it can only run on DC power. Now I want to install a battery holder into the pedal, but I'm wondering whether one 9V battery will be enough to power both pedals?
And I don't think there'll be space for two batteries...
Any suggestions / comments?

Any specific reason for wanting to use batterys?

Well,
It just seems easier and less hassle(aparently the safest route as well) than carting around (after spending big money on one) a PSU...
I don't know, unless someone can give me a name of a brand that is decent and affordable (and where to find it)?
I'm ashamed to admit that I've got a terribly cheap PSU, and it's time to do something about it before it damages my pedal... ?

1) Maybe there's a reason the manufacturers didn't allow for batteries. Like the current draw being on the high side.
2) Why not use the manufacturer's power supply unit?
3) What voltage does the unit use? And if this upped internally? I know of some pedals where the voltage from the wall-wart is doubled up inside the pedal.

Dunlop/mxr have a dc brick(7 x 9v and 3 x 18v inputs,youl get one in a store for about 1600)
Or thers a second hand t-rex feul tank(8 x 9v,a 12v AC and a 12v DC)
Buuuuut, then thers also a second hand voodoo lab power plus 2 on gumtree for 1000!!!(Google the feateurs,u cn do stuf like dip the voltage and stuff like that...) But its from the usa so u gota get a powersuply for it...

Just get a 9v Boss power supply, replacing batteries in the long run is going to cost you more than a decent power supply!
