Thinking back on the guitars that I have had, I regret selling some of them but not all of them. Some of them were .... well I was nearly unkind to dogs there for a moment.
I do regret selling my Ibanez Blazer for example. That was a good guitar. I don't regret selling an other Ibanez electric (one of the Musician series) which funded the purchase of the Blazer.
I don't form emotional attachments to guitars. Where I have regrets it's because I sold a good instrument and ended up with worse, or because I sold an instrument that I could have kept as an investment and profited from in the long run.
