Is there a way to subzscribe to a thread on the forum?
Yes - look at the links on the bottom right of a thread - there's a link called "Notify", the system can send you email when a thread is updated. There's also a checkbox for notify under "Additional options" when you post a reply.
Something else you can do is subscribe to a board for notifications - just go to the board index and there is a "Notify" link at the bottom of the page.
