Can only be good, I have heard some mp3's but have not seen the Live DVD.
He does quite a percussive Mombassa, so let us know how good it is!

It is a good one. Great performances and Tommy's having a ball. Some interesting anecdotes from the presenter, but I would have preferred to see more of Tommy's own patter between the songs (a la Live in St. Louis) - he's an immensely entertaining performer, even when he's not playing.

try get the episode of ......"it's your life............" Tommy emmanuel, it's a TV series that used to showcase known artists...ussually by surprise.......... it's part live show part interview and part delving into his history and ........
he comes from a family where they were a travelling family band in australia........... he was performing drums and guitar at 6 what an amazing life.. his entire family is musical...... and he seems just such a cool dude too ......... love his work .......... and he's extremely versatile......... and whats best is he knows how to entertain.....
great sense of humour .... he is quoted as saying " he talks about metronones ..... and says he has never found one that works properly....everythime he uses the things they must be broken cos they keep slowing down or speeding while he's playing "

I got home, popped the DVD in and stood for 1hr and 30mins with my mouth open... ?
What a cool oke indeed, quite inspirational and I see myself watching this DVD many times over in my future! ?
