They are a bit neck heavy, but only a little. The Gibson doublecut Specials they are modelled after are too.

Yes, it is compared to my strat but nothing I won't get used to. I'm very pleased with that axe, and it's of course a privilege to own and play something that had it's innards modified by Alan!

@ everybody else... a.and I cn get a hamer doubelcut with p-90's for about 6500...sooo,shoud I wait for a prs se soapbar(but the thing is,then I'm gona swop the pickups,coz I use to love hot pickups,but now I cnt stand them...then 5.5 for the guit+2.5 for the pups,then I cn just as we'll buy the tokai...) to pop up...or get the hamer...o and how are the agile guits..they also have a p90 doubel cut thingy

6.5 K ? Can't be the Korean built one, I guess it's the US one?

6.5K is the normal price for the Asian models. You won't see them at R2k again, except secondhand.

I fiddled on one of those briefly a while back (didn't get a lot of time, because it was in the process of being sold). Interesting. Nice neck and a unique voice - not a "real" Tele to my mind, but a lot spankier than the usual Gibson-style P90 fare. The 2 volume, 2 tone arrangement stopped me from looking further later, but the overall impression was it was punching above it's price class.

I dont know if real Teles come with P90's so I was not really looking at it like a Tele. I'm also not keen on this 2 volume and tone thing but looking at the guitar, it's like you mention, very well priced. Can the circuitry be changed to adapt to a one vol/tone setup?

Easily. You end up with a bit less wiring inside too, 'cos the pickups go straight to the selector and then down to the controls (instead of to the controls, up to the selector and back to the output).
