So most of you know about the flood that I had about 8 months ago and loosing my guitars.
Well how is this for luck:
Past weekend we went to a wedding in Swellendam. Had a great time staying next to a huge dam, swimming and braai'ing.
So the Saturday we decided to make some boerewors rolls, guess what I did? I kept my GFSA name of InFlames high.
I burnt most of the skin off my right hand when picking up a grid that was standing next to fire. No one noticed the flames blowing over the handle.
Believe it or not, no alcohol in sight!!!! After receiving some serious burn treatment all went well.
Guess what I found when I arrived home?
My geyser burst >☹
Lucky all gear save and sound ?
I have vowed to never attend another wedding in my life!

In my previous life I might have been smeegal from Lord of the Rings.
Agree on the Karma thing ? Luckily 3 major bad things has happened, so now I can breath again.
When I arrived home and saw the water I ran outside to turn of the main stop valve.
The shocking story is that my lawn grew over the valve meaning I can't find it!
So I used the back of a hammer to start ripping lawn out with my stupid left hand!
After removing a 2x2 meter patch of grass I found the valve >☹
O did I also mention that it was 38 outside? I was InFlames!

Thats just a weird coincidence..... Let me tell you what happened to me on saturday, similar story (but there was beer). I was at a farm for a bachelors party which was about 2 hours drive from home (other side randfontein) and the one hour was driving through farm lands, millie fields and donga's. Never been there before in my life. Anyways, I helped light one of those gas lamp things and about two hours after it burning I decided it would be a good leaning post and also put my right hand on it. Got burnt pretty badly.
The one dude said he had a first aid kit in his car but had to take it out to make space for the beer.... Anyways, I tried to sleep, but the pain was to much so I decided to go home.... at 2am, 2 hours from home and had an hour of mielie fields/donga's etc ahead of me.
So I had my hand out the window and I heard barking coming closer.... I looked in side mirror and in the glow of the tail lights I saw this huge dog running up and jumped towards my arm!!! Just missed though, pulled my arm in and put up the window then as I looked up, there was a closed gate right in front of me, slammed on brakes and looked around........ couldnt see the dog anywhere and I thought, this is how horror movies start. So, I was NOT going to get out my car to open that gate and found another road and drove until I hit tar road, GPS kicked in and then it was off to home.
The wife quite enjoyed being woken up at about 4am with me looking for burn shield!!!
