Riaan Depends on your firmware. EU MP3 players are normally set to output lower volume than USA players. My MP3 player was also too soft for my liking in the beginning, until I changed to USA firmware. Thanks Een, I'll look into that!
giggsy Also got the 160Gb iPod Classic - its on the go most of the time - got an iTrip for the car and docking stations in the bedroom, office, kitchen and bar. Also got a set of mini speakers which I use if I am out in the garden! Agree that the volume is lower than my 80Gb but not sure if that has anything to do with having the Sound Check clicked under Preferences in iTunes? Worth the sacrifice because now when I play songs on a playlist the volume is uniform and I dont have to get up to turn the volume up or down every new song that comes on.
Jack-Flash-Jr Carry tunes and videos on my blackberry... don't like carrying a lot of gadgets... perhaps iphone is as suggested the best way to go?
