Epiphone acoustic NV-390 advice

Hey all,
A buddy was offered an Epiphone steel string NV-390 for purchase. I had a look at the guitar for him, no problems, two minor dings, great sound, action, looks. Hell I'd snap it up myself. I did however promise to check in with the 'experts', that's you, to see if anyone knows anything about these (MiJ and probably decade(s) old) as well as get an idea of what it may be worth. Arched back also.

Can I be a bit forward and ask what price your buddy is paying?

I need to get one of these, with no preamp etc, no cutaway, just a plain Acoustic.

Asking price was 3k. I honestly don't know how much it actually is worth...

I realise that this is not as popular a topic as fluorescent lights ? but nobody know anything about this Epiphone?

I know about as much as you do - but anybody can find that out with a bit of googling. MIJ. mid to late 70s. Spruce top etc

But there are other questions that you and your friend can answer.

* How is the action?
* How is the intonation?
* Any buzzes - and if so where on the neck?
* Do the tuners look and feel OK

And more subjective, but still important issues: Do you like the sound? Does it WORK for you?

Thanks Bob - positive on all of the above! I have already advised him to go ahead now but I wanted to check on resale value...
