Here are the entries for the Movie Theme Challenge
Here's my entry for the weekly challenge. PLEASE DON'T LAUGH! :P I couldn't find a movie track I wanted to base my track on so after listening to a few tracks on YouTube I just played what was in my head and it sounded like a movie track to me so I recorded it, only 1 take. (Hence the 'please don't laugh' bit) The scene: The end of a love story, the Hero dies saving many lives, his fiance/girlfriend looking at his photo crying... :( Guitar: Tokai ES60 Amp: Vox AC4TV Category: Beginner http://www.box.net/shared/2iy9e5ft5e Enjoy :D

My entry, Wah wah waaah, Ghostbusters Category A http://www.box.net/shared/mamhoet968

"My Tart will go on..." FotoFlame Jap Strat (94) Kinman Woodstocks (Neck) 3/4 Guitar Layers... Panned with Delay http://www.box.net/shared/v0ug65qugp

I told Andrew earlier that I wouldn't be able to do this... but in the last hour or so I made something. It may be a hectic fail but yeah, its here. It came from somewhere, I just don't know where, lol. See if you guys can figure it out. I also overstepped the recording time limit. But its still only a 1.6mb download http://www.box.net/shared/cga6820t71
Donovan, I *LOVE* the wah-wah - too absolutely awesome ? The intro & rhythm were also lots of fun - you got my vote!

CDee... Nothing funny about it dude... this is beautiful. Could very easily land up on something like Natural Born Killers (Cult movie number one). Very nice dude! So chill and comforting with a haunting feel too. Shoulda been Cat A... ?

Don B... Lol... very very cool. Brought a smile quickly... me as a stupid kid thinking scientists were cool... pah... But this was well done dude... ?

ABJ.... Very cool man. Nice version with nice variations here and there... but the main theme is there... mom likes it ? she wants your puppies.
CDee - could be a version of "Englishman in New York" good simple works for me some of my favourite movie music is from Juno

Don - Even though I hate that particular movie theme you brought a smile to my dial - what have you been feeding your wha pedal, steroids!

Andrew - Another nauseating movie theme, Kudos to you for giving it some street cred with a little Vai touch

Evo - Let's be honest here, they don't have movies in Krugersdorp yet. You and that tree had to invent the whole thing from scratch didn't you and a very good job may I add I loved the sting arrangement

Well done guys for finding the time and putting in the effort it is unfortunate that I don't have 4 votes

Thank you kindly... however this is a family channel.

CDee - I liked it alot... could actually move onto heavey rotation on my playlist. Great tone you getting there too. USA Strat?

Evo - Very well done, i liked the end bit 1:10 especially , the whole resolving chord thing. Triumphant and such.

Don - haha Killer and Retro... just the way i like it. This is exactly what I wanted with the Theme, imagine we had 20 of these entries.

Ha ha, with a bagpipe influence in the beginning. On a side note, what do you use for your drums? They sound awesome.

Thanks Andrew, thats stuck in my head now.... It actually sounds like it comes off one of those panpipes cd's until you stat adding your own flair. Just brilliant!
Thanks for the kind words guys... :-[

This is a hard one to decide...
Don - Very well done, really hit the topic on the head.
AJB - Man, you are just oozing with talent dude. I hated that song when it came out, but you made me like it... ?
Evo - I could just see the Hero there on the final scene lifting his gun in triumph over his remaining compatriots and celebrating... Then the credits start to roll. Well done!

I just think that in the interest of all the other entries we should scrap the category for this one. (Seeing as I'm the only beginner I feel it is unfair towards the other entries)
Your thoughts?

?

Just as Rene said, I wish I had 4 votes.

Good stuff everybody

Modest intentions however the stats show me that if we scraped the categories and give everyone one vote you would probably get all the votes.
5 days later
Only 12 votes!

Come on Forum, these guys worked hard for this competition.
still got about 30 minutes
Well done to CDee and Andrew in the beginner and unknown categories respectively. I'm going to ask CDee to PM the topic for next week because he deserves extra Kudos as a beginner entering a tough challenge.
Thanks Rene, pm sent. ?
