Nitrocellulose Aerosol

Hello there.

I am currently refinishing my classical guitar, and I am just about finished stripping/sanding. I have been reading a few things on the net about finishing and have come across this:

Nitrocellulose lacquer in an aerosol can. I was just wondering if such a thing can be found in South Africa and where? I am looking for clear and a slightly dark tint. Texture preferably satin.

I have a compressor and automotive paint gun, which is a bit cumbersome for finishing a guitar, which is why I am attracted to this.

If anyone has any info, please let me know!

A friend of mine found nitro rattlecans in a surf/graffiti shop in Cape Town. He wasn't sure of the name, but apparently something like Street Life or Street Shack, in Loop street, just off Wale Street.

IMO I cant see you getting the same finish and consistancy using a rattlecan as oposed to a compressor and gun even if it is a low presure one

I've seen a few good jobs. A lot of the rattlecans sold at art supply shops have great nozzles, which are important for getting a good result. Then the main limiting factor is the skill of the sprayer, IMO.

What about the colortone cans you get at stewmac and no doubt at other places. then they also have a finishing thingy which is like a bottle with a can atop it by the looks of things.

You can't ship nitrocellulose (or any flammable product) from the US.
