"Great Guitars" series at the GRAMMY Museum

Just for all of you who hang out in LA.

Starting March 17th the GRAMMY Museum will kick off it's "Great Guitars" series of presentations that will "regularly feature innovators, masters and thinkers around the art of guitar playing for discussion and performance."

First up is Richard Thompson. Not somebody I'd figure gets a lot of attention at the GRAMMY museum given his low commercial profile.

Would be great to see Bob Newhart! His sense of humour wasn't bad for an American.

I've seen him three times now. Better value than Newhart because not only does he play guitar he is very funny.

The acoustic is a Lowden. He has several of these, all different. This one is an "F" body shape and it looks like a cedar top.

This kind of event fascinates me almost as much as a live concert performance. Every now and then I wish I lived in LA.
