This is the Ibanez part number for tuners on a guitar that I have. I want to change them and not sure what Grover, Gotoh, Schaller tuners to get that would be a fit on the guitar. I see on Stemac they talk about mid and small size and give a whole bunch of dimensions but still doesnt give me a confortable feeling to just go ahead and order. anyone change tuners on an Ibanez before?
Cheers - Ray

There are only 2 things that really matter when replacing: to get the hole size right (if your Ibanez info does not help, take a tuner out and measure with vernier) and to get the little screw in the same place. There is so little standardization that comfortable feelings rarely occur when ordering. Mid and small size refers to the casing/knobs so it's relatively easy to get right (no small on 3+3 and no large on 6-in-line). Search the forum, people have replaced and reported back, I seem to recall Tomcat did recently. (I tend to search the forum through Google with the site: search term).

I was going to but have not done it yet...Something I still need to do.

@ Ray....

If you decide to order from Stewmac, please let me know and we can maybe combine an order to reduce shipping costs.
