Guitar Rig 4 Mobile/Essential vs Jamvox vs Line6 Guitar Port

Ok, so I now live in an apartment (or "FLAT" to be more souf efriken ?) and need practice software. I am looking at the Vox Jamvox or Guitar Rig4.

There are various versions of GR packages available, starting from $99. What additional hardware would I need to run it into the PC? What GR version would be more suitabe for me - no gigging but would need upgrade capability later?

Looking at the GR4 Kontrol ($449), GR4 PRO ($199), GR4 Essential ($99), GR4 Mobile ($119).

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before but hey, it's Sunday morning and the energy levels are low !!! ? ?

No, live in Gauteng, South Africa but was checking Native Insts site quotes in $US. Don't know if available in SA - maybe Turnkey music?

Turnkey are the agents. I think Rene was selling his GR3 Kontrol edition recently too.

If you already have a good external audio interface, all you need is the software (and no, the internal audio interface is unlikely to be very good). If you don't have one then the Mobile at least. The Kontrol edition is nice because that gives you foot control for patch changing, FX on/off and things like wah and volume pedal control.

One thing I have found though is that the current version of GR4 is not as stable as GR3 - 3 never crashes, while 4 I'm lucky to get more than an hour without a crash. I think it's partly to do with me having a lower spec machine and needing more resources.

I'm not at home right now, but I'll go into a bit more depth later if needed.

Chenged the thread title as I am now aware of the Line6 Guitar Port but so far unaware of who stocks and what are the best prices for these products. Checked with Turnkey and they only have GR4 Kontrol at about R6.5k.

The Jamvox and Line6 guitarport look very similar and can do killer things and with all the online stuff available look like good buys.
The Jamvox would cost more but has the monitor.

Another option would be the Korg PX5D, which doesn't need a computer to operate.
