Fakemenco for Valentine's dinner

Here is a little clip of my wife & I playing some "fakemenco".
The burglar bars in that tiny hall gives it a South African texture LOL.
I know I look funny when I play, try not to laugh.

No I just noticed that during the verses I seem to sway like a charmed snake. I think this is some by product of concentrating my pancreas off. I also didn't know that I resemble a praying mantis quite as much ?

I was in another acoustic duet till end 2008 (if I recall correctly). When Tish & I started dating, I had no idea she was musical. About a year into the relationship, I showed her some stuff on guitar and whatever I showed her was just absorbed and then she would ask for more. We even performed 2 pieces at our wedding and so now we formed a duet.

actually i changed my mind about selling the yamaha...and put a LR baggs ibeam system into the yamaha too and seeing how it sounds amplified....... the jury is still out ........ but i'm using it at gigs to test it in right conditions....... actually will use it tonight then will let you know... i used it this past weekend tho for 3 shows...... still not 100% convinced but giving it a fair shake.....

OK. Did you get the IBeam from Marshall music in the end? I think it should sound great. There are 2 L.R. Baggs dual sources in Pretoria now too. I think they are R1.5k each. Where are you performing tonight?

Flamenco purists have a very strict toolset of progressions and styles (Cantes, Bulerias, Soleas etc etc etc..). What we are playing here is not selected from that toolset. They also call Jesse Cook, CH2 and Rodrigo & Gabriella fakemenco.

I just decided that instead of being offended, I'll just adopt the term. They are vehement about this distinction on the flamenco forum.

? Yes and the local shops that sell Flamenco guitars also call them "Flamingo" guitars and that is only after discovering that they are different from the classical guitars.

So it is REALLY hard to track down a flamenco guitar in Gauteng. I was wondering if someone shouldn't make a reality show if me trying to find one. ?
